Oportunidad is a ministry that provides food and shelter to homeless and nearly-homeless Latino/as in the MacArthur Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Oportunidad is open to all people, regardless of background, economic status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or religious belief. Our congregation is blessed by the participation of many Oportunidad residents in our weekly Sunday worship services. Pastor Wulf also leads a weekly bible study at Oportunidad on Fridays. Once a month after our worship service members of the congregation pitch in to pack non-perishable sack lunches for the residents of Oportunidad.
The UUC Peace Center exists to engage any who seek the expression of shalom/salaam/wholeness/peace with justice for themselves and all of Creation. Peace Center programs include Peace Camp (a summer experience for children and youth) and Peace Kids (a Saturday program that cultivates youth leadership in peacemaking).

Discipleship Bible Study An opportunity to dive into scripture and find a relevant word for our daily lives. Dates and times for our spring bible study will be announced soon. Students have their own bible study on Sunday afternoons.

USC Interfaith Peace Organization is a group of USC students who partner with community organizations to promote peace-building and compassion, particularly in the local area. We regularly organize community service projects, educational panels and learning experiences related to topics including environmentalism, the arts, immigration reform, hunger and homelessness, non-violence, education, LGBTQ rights and much more. The fall we’ll be planning three “Global Table” events and the “Socially Conscious Food Fair”.
UUC Student Fellowship provides a space for students to explore and grow their faith life. Whether you’re interested in reflections on faith and service, interfaith dialog, a progressive Christian bible study, theological/philosophical exploration or just chatting over a cup of coffee, we want to give you the resources and support to integrate your spirituality into the everyday experiences of campus life.
